All it took was a talent showcase, a few supportive friends, and a lot of tequila to help Hadiyah Robinson realize her true calling. No, not alcoholism; stand-up comedy. In just one night, Hadiyah caught the comedy bug that she just couldn�t shake and by the next year she quit her job to begin her journey in stand-up comedy. Born and raised in Flint, MI, Hadiyah has been naturally funny her entire life entertaining family, friends, and enemies alike. But it wasn�t until moving to New York, Hadiyah found the courage to bring her style of comedy to the stage seasoned with whit, charisma, and urban know-how. Hadiyah performs at such noted comedy clubs as The Comic Strip, Stand-Up New York, New York Comedy Club, The New York Improv, and The Laugh Factory in NY and Ha Comedy Club. She won the Funniest Office Stories contest at Stand up New York, she was a finalist for BET�s Coming to the Stage, a finalist in the NBC Stand Up for Diversity showcase, a finalist in the Ladies of Laughter competition and a featured comedian in the 2005 NYC Underground Comedy Festival. Most recently, Hadiyah taped her first season of BET�s "Comic View."
